Tim Johnson

Tim is an investment director with 27 years’ experience of managing private client investment portfolios.  He joined Rathbones in August 2000 having previously worked at Kleinwort Benson Private Wealth Management where he also had responsibility for researching the pharmaceuticals and telecoms sectors. He manages discretionary private client investment portfolios, together with a number of charities, personal pension schemes and bespoke unit trusts/OEICs for large family groups, often within complex trust structures.  Tim is a member of the Rathbones Investment Executive Committee which has responsibility for the investment process, its monitoring and ongoing development. He is also sits on Rathbones Portfolio Construction Committee and is a member of the Collective Funds Investment Committee, which has responsibility for the research, selection and ongoing monitoring of “best-of-breed” funds for the group. On graduating with an honours degree majoring in Economics, Tim was commissioned from Sandhurst into The Black Watch where he served for five years. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
