Elizabeth Haigh is an investment director and chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. She is responsible for the management of private client and trustee ethical investment portfolios, with special interest in the development of social enterprise investment. Elizabeth began her career at Laing and Cruickshank Investment Management in 1987 after graduating from the University of Bristol. She moved to Albert E Sharp Investment Management where she launched the UK’s first tailor made ethical investment service for private clients, trustees and charities in 1992. In 1995 she commissioned influential research into UK companies’ family friendly employment policies.

Elizabeth moved to Rathbones in 1997 where she and her team established an ethical investment service, going on to found Greenbank Investments (specialist ethical investment unit of Rathbones) in 2004. Elizabeth served as head of Greenbank Investments from 2004 to 2009 and has been involved in shareholder engagement throughout her career in socially responsible investment.

Helen joined Rathbones in 2019, having previously worked in the private client teams of several leading London law firms.  

She qualified in 2014 and advises clients on tax and estate planning including preparing wills and drafting and advising on trusts. Helen also deals with the administration of estates including those with an international aspect. Helen advises on Lasting Powers of Attorney. She also acts in relation to Court of Protection matters such as applications for the appointment of deputies and the approval of statutory wills and lifetime gifts.

Helen is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

James has worked for a number of Investment Management Firms, most recently Killik & Co., where he mentored and developed new planners alongside managing his own advice team.  He has also enjoyed more technical roles at Coutts, supporting advisors to provide complex at retirement advice to wealthy individuals and families.

Kate is head of Greenbank’s investment and ethical, sustainable and impact research teams. She helps shape and oversee the research team’s sustainable investment approach, stewardship and engagement activities and systems for the measurement and reporting of portfolio sustainability and impact performance. She is a member of Rathbones’ responsible investment committee and sponsors Rathbones Group’s social mobility inclusion network. She joined Greenbank in 2007 after graduating from the University of Bristol with a masters in philosophy and mathematics and also holds a postgraduate certificate in environmental management.

As a Senior Paraplanner, my role focuses on research and analysis. I prepare client reports which outline their current positon, objectives and the detailed recommendations. I use analytical software to review existing arrangements and cash flow analysis is becoming a vital part of my work. I provide technical assistance to the planners and wider team and maintain detailed knowledge of all aspects of financial planning, including taxation and legislation. I sit on the Financial Planning Research Committee carrying out product research. As a Senior Paraplanner I also support the development of other paraplanners.

Fiona joined Rathbones as an investment director in 2016. At Rathbones Fiona concentrates on investments for private individuals, their pensions, family trusts and charities, specialising in the management of multi-asset investment portfolios. She is a qualified Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Securities Institute Diploma. Fiona also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII.

Having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2.1 BSc, Fiona began her career at State Street Global Advisors as a graduate before moving to HSBC Global Asset Management in 2002 where she worked for 14 years in the Discretionary Wealth Management division. Fiona had many roles during her career at HSBC including head of Investment Trust Committee and regional head for the southern region working closely with clients and their advisers but her primary focus has always been on giving excellent service to her clients.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. Nathan works with many local and national solicitors, accountants and financial advisors. He regularly presents at charity and investment seminars, with some of these leading firms. Nathan sits on the regional Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Committee, which represents local members at a national level.

Following a takeover by Old Mutual Nathan moved to Quilter, where he worked for 13 years, latterly holding the position of vice president. He was the regional charity specialist, sitting on the Quilter Charities Committee and managing a number of the company’s largest charity accounts. Nathan joined Rathbones at the start of 2013 as an investment director in the Birmingham office.

Ned joined Rathbones in 2020, having started his career at Smith and Williamson in 2009 where he managed a range of private client, pension and trust portfolios. He was the firm’s specialist on the UK banks sector, as well as leading collective research into UK equity and alternative credit funds.

Ned graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2009, and is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
