Stephen Blakemore

Stephen joined the Kendal office in 2023, having spent over a decade in the investment management industry starting his career in 2007. Stephen graduated from Liverpool John Moores University having gained a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and finance, later he was awarded the Securities Institute Diploma and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. On an ongoing basis Stephen receives his annual Statement of Professional Standing from the Institute.

Stephen Hunter

Stephen is deputy regional manager of the Edinburgh office. He specialises in the management of investments for private clients, trusts, and personal pension funds. Prior to joining Rathbones, he spent 15 years with Cornelian Asset Managers where he contributed to the early development of this smaller independent firm. He trained with ABN AMRO Asset Management where he joined as a graduate from the University of Edinburgh in 1996.

Stuart Furzer

Stuart started his career in 2003 at JPMorgan Cazenove (formerly Cazenove) within Corporate Dealing Services trading options for FTSE 100 and 250 companies, joining Rathbones in 2010. Stuart has a BA (Hons) English degree from the University of Southampton and the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification, previously the Masters in Wealth Management. He also holds the CISI Diploma in Investment Advice and is a Fellow of the CISI.

Service is extremely important to me and I pride myself on going the extra mile for all my clients. She is passionate about providing a holistic financial planning service including matters such as tax planning, retirement income planning, inheritance tax and estate planning to high net worth clients providing them with peace of mind over their finances.

Prior to joining Rathbones in May 2012, Keith spent four years working as an investment manager for Williams De Broe in Edinburgh having previously worked for Gerrards and Barclays Wealth.

Kindar Brown

Kindar joined Rathbones in 2019 with over 20 years’ experience. Kindar is one of a relatively small number of advisers in the UK to hold both the Chartered Financial Planner designation from the Personal Finance Society and the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner Certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. She is also a qualified financial neutral through Consensus Collaboration Scotland which allows her to act in collaborative divorce cases.

Kirstie McKeown

Kirstie joined Rathbones in February 2013 to assist in establishing the Newcastle office. Previously she spent over 25 years working for Lloyds Private Banking and Lloyds TSB Independent Financial Advisers. Kirstie is part of the specialist personal injury and Court of Protection team at Rathbones and has advised deputies and trustees in this area for over a decade.
