James is an investment director, graduating from the University of Warwick in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Maths and Philosophy. He worked for Friends Provident before joining Rathbones in 2003, working for the Unit Trust division.

James subsequently joined the private client business of Rathbones in 2007 and now manages portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, charities, personal pension schemes, offshore bonds and family trusts. He also spent over ten years sitting on the Rathbone UK Stock Selection Committee.

James has passed the Investment Management Certificate and is also a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder.
