Robert Walker
Investment director
London
Robert joined Rathbones in 2014 as an investment director. He started his investment career over 20 years ago at Coutts & Co as a portfolio manager in their investment department after graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Economics and Business Management in 1994.
After gaining his investment qualifications at Coutts he then moved to the Private Client division of Invesco Perpetual as investment director and was responsible for the integration of Perpetual’s Private Client division, focussing on the management of both UK and international private client portfolios. In 2004, Invesco Perpetual sold their Private Client division to Singer & Friedlander and, in 2008, Robert joined Jupiter Asset Management with the same team of individuals he has worked with since 1995.
Finally, Jupiter sold their Private Client division to Rathbones in 2014, where Robert retains his specialism of managing investment portfolios for high net worth individuals, trusts, charities and pension funds, both in the UK and for international “ex-pats” by working in partnership with specialist financial advisors in Europe. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute.
