Harpal has 17 years of experience in investment management. He joined Rathbones as a specialist personal injury and Court of Protection adviser having previously held this role at Barclays Wealth and Tilney.

He advises families, public authority bodies, leading law firms on the financial affairs of extremely vulnerable clients and individuals who have received a personal injury award. Harpal is a proud supporter of the Child Brain Injury Trust, raising charitable donations and organising events.

Kat has worked with recipients of personal injury awards for 20 years. She provides specialist advice to clients, professional and lay deputies and guardians, and trustees of personal injury awards.  Kat joined Rathbones in 2020 from Barclays Wealth. 

Kat is passionate about helping her clients, together with their legal representatives, take control of their financial future.  Her goal is to ensure every client can make informed decisions, driven by a clear understanding on how this might affect their long term financial position.  Her advice is tailored to the individual needs of each client, depending on their circumstances, as well as the nature and severity of their injuries. 

She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and a Chartered Financial Planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Kat is working towards the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners Diploma. 

When not helping clients, Kat attempts to train her sproodle.

Amy joined Rathbones in 2013. She manages private client and Personal Injury and Court of Protection portfolios. Amy is a member of the Rathbones Fixed Income Collectives Committee.

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, having obtained the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification in 2017. In doing so, she became the youngest person to achieve this qualification aged 21. Amy also holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Amy was the winner of the Rising Talent Award at the 2021 PIMFA Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

Ned joined Rathbones in 2020, having started his career at Smith and Williamson in 2009 where he managed a range of private client, pension and trust portfolios. He was the firm’s specialist on the UK banks sector, as well as leading collective research into UK equity and alternative credit funds.

Ned graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2009, and is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Adam joined Rathbones in 2021 after spending two and a half years at Investec in a Portfolio Management role. He now manages Personal Injury and Court of Protection Portfolios and relationships, and is a member of the Rathbones UK and Private Equity Investment Committee.

He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a degree in Economics and has since achieved the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification. Adam is also currently studying for the CFA qualification.

Angus joined Rathbones Investment Management as Regional Director for the Glasgow office in May 2015 and became Head of Scotland, at Rathbones, in June 2021. Angus has over 25 years’ experience in the wealth management sector, attending to the needs of individuals, trusts, charities, and pension schemes.

Angus is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments. In satisfying his clients financial requirements he draws drawing upon his extensive private client investment management experience having worked exclusively in this specialist area for Greig Middleton, Murray Johnstone, Aberdeen Asset management and Brewin Dolphin. He is involved personally in several charitable and personal trusts and believes that exceptional client service develops long and lasting relationships.

Nik is an investment director with 20 years’ experience in financial services. He joined Rathbones as an investment director in 2018 and manages discretionary investment portfolios for private individuals, trusts, charities and pension funds within a longstanding team.

Nik graduated with a degree in European Business Studies from Middlesex University in 1996 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

He started his career at Merrill Lynch in 1997 moving to Julius Baer in 2012 when they acquired Merrill’s international business.

Nik is an investment director with 20 years’ experience in financial services. He joined Rathbones as an investment director in 2018 and manages discretionary investment portfolios for private individuals, trusts, charities and pension funds within a longstanding team.

Nik graduated with a degree in European Business Studies from Middlesex University in 1996 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

James was one of the founding members of the Rathbones Newcastle office when it opened in the city in 2013.  Prior to that he was a Director at UBS Wealth Management. He has 22 years investment industry experience and specialises in the management of private client, trust, offshore and pension fund portfolios.

James graduated in Law from Newcastle University in 1998, holds the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) Diploma and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.  James currently sits on the Appeals Committee of St Oswald’s Hospice charity and is a former trustee of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
