Ian is an Investment Director, specialising in helping Charities and other not for profit groups. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) as well as an Affiliate member of the Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners. He holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investment and is a member of the investment committee at Birmingham Women’s & Children’s Hospital and a Trustee of Forest of Hearts.

Ian has over two decades worth of experience, including a period as the Head of a regional specialist Charity team at another firm. Ian has considerable experience of working with and advising Trustees of Charities and other non-profit organisations of all types and sizes and from a wide range of sectors. He is also a frequent speaker on Charity related investment matters and he has published articles in journals such as The Business Influencer and Philanthropy Impact magazine.

Ian joined Rathbones as a client service executive in April 2020 as part of the acquisition of the Barclays Wealth Court of Protection team.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Ian worked for Barclays for eight years in various roles in their Retail and Wealth divisions. Since joining Rathbones, Ian has continued to provide support to our clients and their deputies/trustees. Ian is currently studying for the CISI Investment Advice Diploma with the hope of offering ever greater support to our clients.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys spending time with his family and two cats whilst watching a copious amount of films and the NFL (when it’s in season).

Ian is an investment director, managing a variety of investment portfolios. Ian graduated in 2000 from Southampton Business School with an honours degree in Business Studies and is now a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

Ian started his career as a trainee portfolio manager with HSBC in 2000. Ian spent nine years working in the Private Client department managing portfolios for private clients, personal pension funds, trusts and charities. Ian joined Rathbones in 2009.

Ian is a regional director and specialises in managing bespoke investment portfolios on behalf of private individuals, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds an honours degree in Accounting and Finance.

Ian has over 20 years' experience in the investment management industry. During his career Ian has forged strong working relationships with a range of national and Midlands based firms of intermediaries including solicitors, accountants and independent financial advisors.

Before joining Rathbones’ Birmingham office, as an investment director in October 2010 Ian worked as a director of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, formerly Tilney Investment Management.

Ian is an investment director and has over 30 years’ experience in the discretionary management of investment portfolios. After graduating in 1982 Ian joined Strauss Turnbull where he spent 20 years managing international portfolios for private individuals, trusts and corporate funds before joining Rathbones’ Edinburgh office in 2003.

Ian became a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments in 1986.

Ian is an investment director and has over 30 years’ experience in the discretionary management of investment portfolios. Imogen is an Assistant Investment Manager, providing support to her team with portfolio construction and client relationships. She joined Rathbones in 2020, having graduated from the University of St Andrews with a first-class master’s degree in Physics. 

After completing the Rathbones Graduate Program in 2022, she joined the team full time. Imogen is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, having obtained the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification in 2023.

Imogen is an Assistant Investment Manager, providing support to her team with portfolio construction and client relationships. She joined Rathbones in 2020, having graduated from the University of St Andrews with a first-class master’s degree in Physics.

Isabella joined Rathbones in 2021 from Connor Broadley, a boutique wealth manager, where she looked after private client portfolios and the company’s AIM Portfolio Fund.

After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2007, Isabella began working in the City as an analyst before going on to spend just under 10 years with JM Finn, where she both managed private client portfolios and was a Fund Manager on the JM Finn Global Opportunities Fund.

Isabella is a Chartered Member of the CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment) and sits on the Rathbones Thematic Research Committee on climate change.

Ivan began his investment management career in 1996 with Hargreave Hale, joining Rathbones from Gerrard Investment Management in 2005.

Having graduated in 1996 with honours in Politics, Economics and Law from the University of Buckingham he has gained the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Diploma and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Ivan is head of specialist tax portfolio service, responsible for Rathbones’ specialist tax portfolios which incorporate AIM quoted inheritance tax and enterprise investment scheme strategies.

Ivo joined Rathbones in 2022 as an Investment Manager, having previously been at Cazenove Capital for nine years. He specialises in complex clients, coordinating investments across a number of different structures and tax restrictions. Ivo assists the team in managing over £1.6bn in assets for private clients, charities and trusts.
Ivo is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.
