Sarah joined Rathbones in July 2015 having previously worked for Quilter Cheviot as an investment administrator. She started her administrative career in 2004 in various industries and has over a decade of investment admin experience.

Sarah lives in Kent with her partner and young daughter. In her spare time she is a keen photographer having studied photography and art in Leicester.

Sarah works in our Cambridge office assisting Simon Whitmore to look after the needs of his clients. She joined Rathbones in June 2013 after taking time off to raise her family. Sarah commenced her career in financial services with State Street Global Advisors before moving to the corporate broking team at Deutsche Bank where she specialised in looking after investment trust clients. She then spent four years at Collins Stewart in the corporate finance team, again specialising in investment trusts.

Sarah graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first-class degree in Money, Banking & Finance with French with a year spent studying the master’s degree course in International Economics & Finance at the University of Bordeaux. Sarah became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder in September 2000.

Sarra joined Rathbones as a credit analyst in July 2015 and was subsequently promoted to Fixed Income Research Analyst in 2020. As a credit analyst, Sarra was responsible for providing in-depth credit analysis for the Fixed Income Committee and to investment managers at Rathbones. Sarra covered names from different sectors including financials and corporates. She continues to provide oversight to analysts’ recommendations to the group. In her current capacity, Sarra also represents the fixed income team in investment meetings, actively manages the credit process and ensures the quality of the fixed income investment approach. Her responsibilities extend to chairing the Fixed Income committee and providing FI research to the group, including portfolio construction and helping to manage a small institutional book of Fixed Income.


Sarra graduated from Birmingham University with a Bachelor of Business Management in 2015. She has also achieved a master’s degree in Banking and International Finance with Merit in 2016 from Cass Business School. Sarra holds the Investment Management Certificate and CFA charterholder. Before joining Rathbones, Sarra completed two summer internships, one with a finance start-up in China and another with Goldman Sachs in their Syndicated Bank Loan division in London.

Scott is an investment director and manages portfolios for a wide range of clients. Like many, Scott is a very experienced member of the team and has experienced a number of market cycles and crises throughout his time with Speirs & Jeffrey.

He joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1987 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Scott is an investment director and manages portfolios for a wide range of clients. Like many, Scott is a very experienced member of the team and has experienced a number of market cycles and crises throughout his time with Speirs & Jeffrey.

He joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1987 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Scott is a trainee investment manager in the London investment management team at Rathbones. Having graduated from Heriot-Watt University with an MA (Hons) degree in International Business Management, he completed an MSc in Real Estate: Investment and Finance prior to joining Rathbones in 2018.

Scott is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), he has completed his Investment Advice Diploma and is now pursuing the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Scott is a trainee investment manager in the London investment management team at Rathbones. Having graduated from Heriot-Watt University with an MA (Hons) degree in International Business Management, he completed an MSc in Real Estate: Investment and Finance prior to joining Rathbones in 2018.

A graduate of Heriot Watt University, Scott is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Scott manages a variety of private client mandates but specialises in tax efficient AIM portfolios.

Sean joined Rathbones in 2015 and oversees the Research Operations function. Sean is also responsible for the management and implementation of the investment research communications strategy.

Previously, Sean worked for Dow Jones as a senior associate covering the private markets. During his time there, he produced an array of research content for clients and for public consumption, focusing principally on private equity and venture capital investment activity in the U.S., EMEA and China.

Sean received an honours degree in European Studies with Spanish from the University of Portsmouth, which included a five month overseas study placement at the University of Salamanca.

She then joined the Investor Relations practice of Citigate Dewe Rogerson where she worked with a number of large UK and European listed clients across a range of industries executing their investor relations programmes.

Shelly holds a MSc in Managerial Economics and Strategy from the London School of Economics and a BA from The Richard Ivey School of Business.

Shivee joined Rathbones in 2023 and has started on the graduate trainee investment management programme. This is her first job after graduating from the London School of Economics and Political Science in July 2023 in BSc Management. Shivee also completed a summer internship in M&A during her second year of university.
