Your career

We focus on identifying future leaders, and supporting the current leadership to enhance their skills and widen their experience. We have developed robust methods of identifying and developing potential with positive results, and strive to provide structured career pathways to guide employee development.

Our graduate development programme maintains a high-quality pipeline of younger talent. This is not the only source of quality recruits as we have now also enjoyed two cohorts of our successful apprenticeship programme.

In a recent staff survey, 80% said ‘Working here makes me want to do the best work I can’, while 75% said ‘I have received the training and development I need to do my job’.

We choose to invest significantly in the development of our people, and regularly review the relevance and outcomes of this training. We also encourage our employees to take relevant business qualifications and offer generous support packages. Our investment professionals are required to achieve standards above the regulatory minimum with a particular focus on the Chartered Wealth Manager and Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications. Furthermore, every employee must commit to at least 25 hours of continuous professional development.

In short, no matter what role you have at Rathbones, we will ensure that you receive timely learning and development in order to be as effective as possible from the start and these learning opportunities will continue throughout your career here.
