Findlay Ingram

Findlay joined Rathbones in 2018 as an investment manager working with James Goodhew and Camilla Hill. Prior to joining Rathbones, he qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager at Charles Stanley, where he started his career.

Findlay graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Economics & Finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

He specialises in managing investment portfolios for private individuals, pensions and trusts, and has a particular interest in equities and investment trusts. 

Fiona Gillespie

Fiona joined Rathbones in October 2019 as an investment director and head of charities for Scotland following her previous role as a senior investment manager at Anderson Strathern Asset Management.  Previous to that, Fiona spent 24 years at Edinburgh Fund Managers and then Aberdeen Asset Management following their acquisition, where she had principle responsibility for managing a number of multi-asset mandates for charity clients.

Fiona holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Investment Analysis from Stirling University, and BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Napier University, Edinburgh. She is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.

She sits as a non-executive director of the Children’s Hospice Association of Scotland (CHAS) as well as being a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, and is a trustee of the Stafford Trust and Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.

Fiona Scade

Fiona joined Rathbones as an investment director in 2016. At Rathbones Fiona concentrates on investments for private individuals, their pensions, family trusts and charities, specialising in the management of multi-asset investment portfolios. She is a qualified Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Securities Institute Diploma. Fiona also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII.

Having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2.1 BSc, Fiona began her career at State Street Global Advisors as a graduate before moving to HSBC Global Asset Management in 2002 where she worked for 14 years in the Discretionary Wealth Management division. Fiona had many roles during her career at HSBC including head of Investment Trust Committee and regional head for the southern region working closely with clients and their advisers but her primary focus has always been on giving excellent service to her clients.

Freddie Bennett

Freddie joined Rathbones as an investment manager in October 2018 and provides highly personalised investment management services for individuals, their pensions and family trusts. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Freddie was previously an investment manager at Quilter Cheviot where he started in 2008. He has a degree in Business and French from the University of Manchester.

Freddie started his career in financial services at the beginning of 2018 when he joined Rathbones. He assists the investment management team in Chichester in various aspects of managing client portfolios. Freddie particularly enjoys building relationships with the team’s clients, understanding their circumstances and goals to provide an excellent service.

Freddie graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a 2:1 in Mathematics. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, having passed the Investment Advice Diploma. He is currently studying towards the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Freddy assists James Pettit and Alex Turnbull in various aspects of managing client portfolios on a day to day basis.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Freddy spent two and a half years at Hargreave Hale working as an investment manager’s assistant on the private client desk. In his studies Freddy attained a BSc Hons in Physical Geography from Newcastle University.

Freddy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments achieving a pass with merit in level 6, Private Client Investment Advice and Management exam. He is currently studying towards the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Gail is a partnership relationship executive. Within Rathbones, Gail works with the sales team and is primarily responsible for the platform relationships ensuring RUTM funds are represented to suit the needs of our clients.

Gail joined Rathbones in July 2000, having previously been based in Jersey, working within the insurance industry.

Gareth Pearl

Gareth assists in the management and administration of portfolios as part of the London Charity Team. He joined Rathbones in November 2015 from Quilter Cheviot where he was a trainee investment manager. Prior to this Gareth graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012 with a BA (Hons) degree in Politics.

Gareth is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and, after completing the Investment Management Certificate, obtained the Masters in Wealth Management in 2014.

 

Gary Smith

Gary is an investment director, he is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having qualified in 2002.  Gary joined the investment management team in May 2000, working as an assistant to help manage private client portfolios. He became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2010.

Gary started his career at Coutts before moving to Granville Investment Management where he worked for a number of years alongside two investment directors. He joined Rathbones in 1996 as a settlement manager and was promoted to help run the middle office in 1998.

Georgia Holland

Georgia joined Rathbones in November 2017. Prior to joining Rathbones, she worked at the registrars Equiniti as part of the executive dealing services responsible for high-net-worth dealing and certificated trading. She has over eight years of experience in financial services.

Georgia works as a client service executive for two investment directors, James Douglas-Withers and James Ward. She manages the administration for the team, covering a variety of private clients, pensions, trusts and charities.

Georgia is currently studying for the CISI Investment Operations Certificate.

Georgina Cummings

Georgina is a trainee investment manager in the investment management team at Rathbones. She joined Rathbones in December 2018. Prior to joining the trainee investment manager programme, Georgina supported Jane Sydenham’s team with portfolio modelling for individuals, trusts and charities.

She graduated from the University of York with a first class honours degree in Politics and International Relations which included a year abroad in Barcelona. Georgina is an Associate for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) having achieved the CISI level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in 2019.

Georgina is an investment director, looking after charities, trusts, personal pension funds and private client portfolios.  She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a member of the Charity Finance Directors Group.

Georgina graduated from Newcastle University in 1999 and spent a short time working for Rowe Price Flemings as a research assistant. She joined Rathbones in 2000 as a graduate trainee, became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2008.

Gerry Lawlor

Gerry is a DFM Specialist and is a key point of contact for financial advisers in the North of England.  He specialises in discretionary fund management and multi-asset investment solutions for the financial adviser market.  He joined Rathbones in 1993 and spent the first 23 years of his career working in Operations.  In 2016, Gerry moved into a business development role and became a Key Account Manager working with a national strategic partner.  In 2019, he became a DFM specialist responsible for developing relationships with all financial advisers in the region.

Gill Fleming

Gill is an investment manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities.

She is responsible for managing portfolios for private clients and personal pensions (SIPPs). She has also built up expertise in the field of portfolio management for trusts, Court of Protection work and charities.

After graduating from Exeter University, Gill went on to complete a postgraduate qualification. Having spent many years teaching economics at undergraduate level, she embarked on a total career change in 2002 and passed the necessary stockbroking and investment management exams before beginning to build up a business on her own, largely by referral. Gill worked at Redmayne Bentley, Charles Stanley and Brewin Dolphin before joining Rathbones in 2018.

Glen Johnson

Glen is an investment director managing discretionary portfolios for family clients, private individuals, their self-invested personal pension (SIPP) and small charities. Glen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for securities and Investments and has 30 years experience of working within the investment management industry. He became part of Neilson Cobbold in 1991 which was then acquired by Rathbones in 1996.

As well as the day to day management of clients portfolios, Glen sits on the Investment Committee covering collectives and is closely involved with the strategic development of the Group’s IT systems and technological support of its investment management operations.

Gordon is an investment director and manages investment portfolios for a wide range of clients.

Gordon graduated from Strathclyde University with a degree in Analytical Chemistry before joining Speirs & Jeffrey in 1992. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graeme Dickie

Graeme is an investment director and manages portfolios for a broad range of clients. With a background in research, he continues to take a considerable interest in smaller companies in the building, construction and real estate sectors.

Graeme graduated from Glasgow University with a law degree and joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1986. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graham Waddell

A former director and chair of Speirs & Jeffrey, Graham is an investment director and manages and advises on a full spectrum of client portfolios. Graham was educated in Edinburgh and graduated with a BA in Business Studies from Napier. He gained experience in several investment firms in Scotland and the United States before joining S&J in 1990.

Graham is a non-executive director of MacTaggart Scott (Holdings) Ltd and associated companies. He is chair of the Scottish Stockbrokers Benevolent Fund and acts as a trustee for a number of charities both north and south of the border. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graham is an investment director with Rathbones and has worked in the industry for over 25 years. He is a member of the Chartered Securities Institute.
Graham's qualifications combine both business studies and investment management, giving him a unique insight into investment opportunities. He concentrates exclusively on private client portfolios and has many longstanding happy clients, a number of whom are second generation. He is always keen to talk to potential new clients.

Grant Jordan

Grant’s investment career began in 1999 with a role at Bank of Scotland Portfolio Management Service. He began managing client portfolios in 2005 after securing the Investment Management Certificate. He moved to Rensburg Sheppards (Investec Wealth & Investment) in 2009 and continued managing client portfolios until he left in late 2016. After a short spell at Anderson Strathearn he joined Speirs & Jeffrey in March 2018 as a senior investment manager and works closely with Michael Wilson.

Grant has a business degree from the University of Abertay in Dundee and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Grant McEwan

Grant graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2014 with a first class degree in Business Management with Marketing. After working for Merck in the pharmaceutical industry, Grant completed the CFA UK’s Investment Management Certificate. In 2016 Grant joined Carbon Financial Partners as a Graduate Trainee and completed the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2017. Since joining Rathbones in 2018 Grant passed the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

Grant assists with client meetings and the associated tasks as well as drafting certain pieces of advice.

Grant Pinkerton

Grant has almost 20 years experience in the industry having joined Glasgow stockbrokers Stirling Hendry in 1995 whilst still at university. Starting on the firm's graduate trainee programme, he progressed to the role of investment manager looking after a variety of private clients, trusts and charities. Through a variety of mergers, the firm eventually became part of the Gerrard Group and Grant moved to Brewin Dolphin in 2005 and became an assistant director. He joined Rathbones in May 2015.

Grant is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. Outside of the office, his interests are running and travel.

Greg Mullins

Greg is head of sales, responsible for developing relationships with the third-party market: fund platforms, wraps, and life companies, as well as the underlying IFA community that now increasingly rely on these platforms.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Greg worked at M&G for over 20 years where, latterly, he was director of advisory sales. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing the UK intermediary sales strategy and maintaining strong relationships across the retail third-party market.

Harpal Sra

Harpal has 13 years of experience in investment management. He joined Rathbones as a specialist personal injury and Court of Protection adviser having previously held this role at Barclays Wealth and Tilney.

He advises families, public authority bodies, leading law firms on the financial affairs of extremely vulnerable clients and individuals who have received a personal injury award. Harpal is a proud supporter of the Child Brain Injury Trust, raising charitable donations and organising events.

Harpal is a Chartered Investment Manager and a Chartered Financial Planner. He was previously ranked by eprivateclient as a top 35 under 35 adviser.

Harry Barr

Harry joined Rathbones in April 2018 having graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry.

His role as an assistant investment manager involves providing support for a number of investment directors managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts, charities and pensions.

Harry is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Investments & Securities having completed the Investment Advice Diploma (Securities). He is currently studying for the CFA Level II.

Harry joined Rathbones in September 2014 following the purchase of the Jupiter Private Clients & Charities department where he had worked for just under three years. He graduated from Edinburgh University after reading Mechanical Engineering with a BEng (Honours) and holds the IMC, and IAD Securities qualification. He is now working towards completing the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Harry works in a team assisting in the management of portfolios for individuals, families, trusts, pension funds and charities.

Harveer Mata

Harveer joined Rathbones in 2012, providing discretionary investment management services for private clients, pension funds and trusts.

Harveer joined from Taylor Young Investment Management where he began his career in investment management. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and graduated from the University of York with a BSc (Hons) in Economics. Harveer is a member of the Rathbones Collectives Committee, specialising in developed equity markets outside of the UK.

Hayley is a client service executive at Rathbones. She has over five years’ experience in the financial services industry and joined Rathbones in January 2019. She has most recently been an investment manager’s assistant at Arbuthnot Latham & Co. having had roles in insurance and corporate banking prior to this.  Hayley is responsible for all aspects of client administration and supports Alex Dow and Libby Barrett within the charities team.

Helen Citron

Helen qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and joined Rathbones in November 2019, having previously practised at Howard Kennedy LLP and Farrer & Co.

She advises clients on tax and estate planning including preparing complex wills and drafting and advising on trusts.

Helen deals with the administration of high-value estates, including advising on multi-jurisdictional elements and post-death tax planning.

She has experience of acting for trustees and executors in court applications including for directions to resolve issues that arise in the course of administration and for the approval of variations to the terms of trusts on behalf of minor beneficiaries.

Helen prepares and advises on lasting powers of attorney and how best to meet the needs of more vulnerable family members. She also acts in relation to Court of Protection matters such as applications for the appointment of deputies and for the approval of statutory wills and lifetime gifts.

She joined Rathbones in 2000, having previously worked at Franklin Templeton, and Murray Johnston, responsible for institutional investment trust shareholder relationships.
