Audrey MacCaw
Client service executive
London Audrey.MacCaw@rathbones.comAudrey joined Rathbones in early 2017 having previously worked in the industry as a client service executive at Bordier and Cie (UK) Limited. She was later promoted to a senior client service executive whilst working at Bordier.
Audrey graduated, with a 2:1 (Hons) degree, from Bristol University in 2011 and worked as an intern at an investment management firm in the City for one year.
Audrey works as a client service executive for two investment directors, Charles Wilcox and Andrew Dawson Paul.
Ben Derber
Equity analyst
London Ben.Derber@rathbones.comBen joined Rathbones’ research department in 2019 as a generalist covering UK and overseas equities. Ben formerly worked for 10 years as a buy-side analyst at Manulife Asset Management with primary responsibility for the Industrials, Telecommunication Services, and Material sectors in Europe and Japan. His role there included performing in-depth company research, portfolio construction and client communication. He graduated with a 2:1 degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford in 2006 and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Ben Douglass-Lee
Assistant investment manager
Glasgow Ben.Douglass-Lee@rathbones.comBen joined Rathbones following the acquisition of Speirs & Jeffrey, where he initially started on the trainee scheme in 2018.
Ben is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He has obtained the Investment Advice Diploma in Securities & Derivatives and Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) qualification. Ben holds a degree in Industrial Design & Technology from Loughborough University.
Ben works predominantly with Mark Cowan and Stephanie Graham, providing assistance for a wide range of clients including individuals, families, trusts, pension funds and charitable organisations.
Ben Shaw
Financial planner
London Ben.Shaw@rathbones.comBen joined Rathbones Financial Planning in 2017 and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He passionately believes in the value of tailored holistic financial planning and working with clients to help them achieve their lifetime objectives. Ben advises clients across a broad range of areas including wealth preservation, investment structuring, retirement planning as well as succession and inheritance tax planning. He takes a proactive approach to ensure clients are reassured that they are making the right decisions with their wealth.
Ben graduated from the University of York in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Environment, Economics and Ecology. Ben also has a Masters from the University of Leeds in Engineering Geology. He previously worked as an Environmental Manager on large national infrastructure projects before moving to Rathbones to pursue a career within Financial Planning.
Bertie Grossart

London Albert.Grossart@rathbones.comBertie works alongside Freddie Bennett and Jessie Finelli providing personalised investment management services to individuals, their pensions and family trusts. Prior to this he managed a team in the Investment Risk department having joined Rathbones in 2018.
Bertie graduated from Oxford Brookes with a 2:1 honours degree in Business and Geography and has completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).

London Betsy.Ashburner@rathbones.comBetsy joined Rathbone Greenbank in January 2021 and is an assistant investment manager. She started her career at Rathbones in September 2018, after graduating from The University of Manchester with a first class degree in Psychology. She spent her first year at Rathbones working with the anti-money laundering team. She then spent 15 months on the trainee rotation programme, gaining in-depth experience and knowledge of Rathbones by exposure to a variety of departments.
Betsy is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, having achieved the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in July 2020. She passed her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam in July 2021.
Bradley Wright

London Bradley.Wright@rathbones.comBrad joined Rathbones as a financial planner in 2021 following a move cross-country to London from the south-west and specialises in providing advice to clients and their representatives within Rathbones’ Court of Protection team. With over 8 years’ of experience within the financial planning and wealth management profession, he brings a range of experience from a career spent at large regional firms in a variety of different roles and is passionate about delivering the right outcome, providing tailored financial advice and tax structuring for personal injury claimants and clients in later life.
Brad holds a master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of Edinburgh and prior to this, gained a first class honours degree in European Business Management.

Brendan Butler

Glasgow Brendan.Butler@rathbones.comBrendan is an investment manager with experience managing a variety of bespoke portfolios including SIPPs, ISAs, and discretionary trusts for private clients, financial advisers and solicitors.
He has a first class honours degree in Veterinary Bioscience from the University of Glasgow and a MSc in Investment and Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Brendan is a Chartered Wealth Manager and also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Brendan began his career in Investment Management with Speirs & Jeffrey before the company was then acquired by Rathbones.

He is responsible for growing the Rathbone footprint in the area via deeper relationships with the financial adviser community as well as discretionary fund managers. He joined Rathbones in March 2016, having spent three years with Old Mutual Global Investors. Previously he spent 10 years with Prudential Plc.
Brogan Sealey

Prior to joining Rathbones, she spent 2 years working as a Personal Assistant at Glencore Plc.
Brogan holds the Investment Operations Certificate and Investment Advice Diploma.
Bruce Newbigging
Managing director, UK Trust
London Bruce.Newbigging@rathbones.comBruce is managing director of UK Trust and has gained a wide range of expertise and knowledge from over 30 years' practical experience in all areas of corporate, private and charity trust work. Bruce now specialises in family office services for wealthy clients and is also a trustee of a significant grant-giving foundation.
Bruce joined Rathbones in 2002 having worked with Hambros for the previous 25 years managing its private bank and trust business for the majority of that time.
Bryan Amos
Financial planning assistant
Edinburgh Bryan.Amos@rathbones.comBryan joined Rathbones from Prudential Financial Planning, where he worked as a financial adviser. He previously worked at Scottish Widows as a life, pensions, investment and retirement consultant. Bryan holds the Diploma in Financial Advice from the London Institute of Banking and Finance and is currently working towards his Advanced Diploma.
He assists with client meetings and the associated tasks as well as drafting certain pieces of advice.
Bryn Jones
Fixed income fund manager
London Bryn.Jones@rathbones.comBryn is the head of fixed income for Rathbones and is lead manager on the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund and the Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund. He joined Rathbones in November 2004 from Merrill Lynch, where he managed $2 billion of fixed income assets.
Bryn is a member of the Rathbone Strategic Asset Allocation Committee, non-executive chairman of Rathbones' Fixed Income Committee, and an adviser to the Rathbone Banking Committee. He is a WMA representative for the HMT DMO’s (Her Majesty’s Treasury - Debt Management Office) Gilt market consultation process. Bryn appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He also sits on the IA Fixed Income Committee.
Bryn graduated from Birmingham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography in 1995. Bryn’s Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund was awarded Best Sterling Corporate Bond Fund at the Morningstar UK Fund Awards 2014 and 2016; Best SRI Bond Fund at the Money Observer 2015, 2016 and 2017 Fund Awards; the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund is also a top performer in the Bond Pound Sterling – Corporates sector over three and five years in the UK (Lipper Fund Award 2015) and was ‘Highly Commended’ at the 2015 Moneywise Awards. His Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund was voted best Multi-Asset Fixed Income Strategy at the Investment Week Specialist Investment Awards 2015 and was highly commended in 2016.
Calum MacLean
Investment manager
Glasgow Calum.MacLean@rathbones.comOriginally from the Highlands, Calum joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2015 after spending five years at Baillie Gifford. He graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2009 with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Financial Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019. Calum works closely with Graeme Dickie.
Cameron Pollock
Investment director
Glasgow Cameron.Pollock@rathbones.comCameron graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2009 with an honours degree in Law. While studying for his degree he spent a year abroad in Nijmegen in The Netherlands.
He joined Speirs & Jeffrey in August 2009 and initially worked in the custody department, moving to the investment support department in the summer of 2010. Cameron was appointed an Investment Director in December 2017.
Cameron works closely with Graeme Dickie and Tony Smith. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Security & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.
Camilla Hill
Investment manager
London Camilla.Hill@rathbones.comCamilla started her career in 2016 when she joined the Rathbones graduate scheme. She spent time circulating a number of investment management teams, our investment research desk as well as our back office in Liverpool, before joining James Goodhew’s team as an assistant investment manager in 2018.
Camilla assists in the management of discretionary portfolios for private clients, pensions, trusts and charities. As well as having a keen interest in UK politics and equity investment trusts, she enjoys building strong relationships with the team’s clients, understanding their goals and providing an excellent service.
Camilla graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in Politics and Sociology. She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, holds the Investment Advice Diploma and the Chartered Wealth Management qualification.
Camilla Klemme
Investment director
London Camilla.Klemme@rathbones.comCamilla is an investment director and has worked in private client fund management since 2011. She joined Rathbones in 2011 having previously worked at Lyxor Asset Management, part of the Societe Generale Group.
Camilla graduated from the University of Edinburgh gaining a 2:1 in Geography in 2010 and is now a Chartered Fellow, FCSI, of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, having completed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Masters in 2014.
She works alongside investment directors’ Clive Hexton and Tim Johnson in managing discretionary private client investment portfolios for complex family structures, including the management of bespoke family funds. As well as participating in researching investment ideas and providing administrative support, Camilla is also a member of the Overseas and UK Investment Committees, which has responsibility for the research, selection and monitoring of international and UK equity exposure for the group.
