Rathbones Asset Management strengthens board with new iNED
Rathbones Asset Management is pleased to announce it has appointed Julian Ide as independent non-executive director (iNED), effective 1 July 2025.
Julian Ide brings 25 years’ leadership experience in global financial services businesses and charities, spanning numerous high-profile roles including vice chair of Franklin Templeton EMEA, chief executive officer of Martin Currie, chief executive officer of Source ETF and chief executive officer of Old Mutual Global Investors.
Tom Carroll, chief executive, Rathbones Asset Management, said: “Bringing in someone of Julian’s vast experience in asset management, global financial services institutions and the wider investment industry is a statement of intent. We have incredibly high-quality investment teams, which we have recently added to with the appointments if Lisa Lim, Tim Love and Joaquim Nogueira. We have strengthened our operational and digital capabilities to be truly scalable. We are looking to build on this momentum as part of our growth strategy, and Julian’s advice, oversight and support will be hugely valuable as we move into this next phase of growth. I very much look forward to working with him.”
Jayne Rogers, chief distribution officer, Rathbones Group, and executive chair of Rathbones Asset Management, said: “As Rathbones Asset Management’s growth trajectory gathers pace, we are seeing significant opportunities to develop our business. Julian’s appointment will strengthen the Rathbones Asset Management Board at a crucial time, as we expand our offering to existing clients, to colleagues in the Group, and grow into new areas of the market.”
