The future of morality

Tom Holland is an award-winning historian, author and broadcaster. In this interview with Andrea Catherwood, Tom discusses how he personally changed his mind on the significance of Christianity as he investigated the classical side of history in his latest book Dominion: The Making of The Western Mind. His argument is not whether God exists or whether Christianity has been a good or bad thing – but rather how much Christianity has shaped the way we understand the world and how we decide on what is right and wrong. Tom explores his relationship with Christianity and the paradoxes at its heart.  He discusses topics from Trump as a standard bearer for Christian values, faith and morality within politics to religious literacy and tolerance. This is a fascinating examination of the future of Christianity in the West, looking at new kinds of moral questions and how we have come to think the way we do.
