<p>The 33-year old spoken-word poet Raymond Antrobus has been named the winner of the £30,000 Rathbones Folio Prize, for his debut collection, ‘The Perseverance’. It is the first time the prize – which rewards the best work of literature of the year, regardless of form – has been awarded to a poet.</p>

<p>A Hampshire Scout has successfully completed the world’s first Scout expedition to Antarctica.&nbsp; The polar expedition, sponsored by Rathbones Winchester, saw Joe Doherty, (25) become the first to ski to the South Pole and to complete the return leg of his journey by wind-powered kite ski.&nbsp;</p> <p>After man-hauling food and kit, enduring average temperatures of -27 degrees Celsius and regularly climbing to an altitude of 2900 metres, Joe reached the South Pole after a gruelling 45 days. He successfully completed the expedition in just 61 days.</p>

<p>Funds under management up 14.3% to £39.1 billion<br> This is a preliminary statement of annual results published in accordance with FCA Listing Rule 9.7A.</p> <p>Mark Nicholls, Chairman of Rathbones Group&nbsp;Plc, said:</p> <p>"UK&nbsp;and global investment markets performed well in 2017, with some indices reaching record levels towards the end of the year.
