<p>This is a preliminary statement of annual results published in accordance with FCA Listing Rule 9.7A.<br> It covers the year ended 31 December 2014.</p> <p><strong>Mark Nicholls, Chairman of Rathbones Group Plc, said:</strong></p> <p>“2014 was a challenging year for most investment markets, which became increasingly volatile in the second half. Despite this, Rathbones had another good year and achieved strong and broad-based growth. Our total funds under management grew by 23.6 % over the year to £27.2 billion and we warmly welcomed more than 5,000 new clients during the year.</p>

<p>Each quarter we produce a market review based on the key themes discussed at our Strategic Asset Allocation Committee. This quarter's key themes include:</p>

<p>Rathbones has extended its financial education programme to schools in the North West.</p> <p>Rathbones’ Kendal Regional Director Richard Dawson and Assistant Investment Manager Stephen Quick have recently presented at St Bees School, Giggleswick School, Kirkham Grammar School, Lancaster Royal Grammar School, Sedbergh School and Manchester Grammar School.</p> <p>The office will be hosting a financial awareness event for 16-22 year olds in the region during the 2015 Easter holidays at Levens Hall in Kendal.</p> <p>Commenting, Rathbones’ Richard Dawson said:</p>

<p>The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced that Julie Walters CBE, the multi-BAFTA-winning actress, will discuss her career and craft at a special ‘BAFTA A Life in Television’ event at BAFTA headquarters, 195 Piccadilly in London, on Wednesday 3 December. The event is supported by Rathbone Investment Management.</p> <p>‘BAFTA A Life in Television’ is a new strand of live onstage events that will celebrate leading figures from the world of television, shining a light on their talent and their contribution to British television and culture.&nbsp;</p>
